New Dolls

Hello!  It seems like I haven't blogged in a long time.   Summer has just taken me for a wild ride of Park Hopping and so much more.  I am enjoying my kids this summer.  We have been having so much fun catching baby toads and planting flowers and playing in the sprinkler.  Gosh it brings so many great memories of my own childhood rushing back.



I have three new dolls for sale.   This month on TDIPT it is Christmas in July.  I have an Angel and a Santa listed there.  I hope you have a chance to pop on over and check them out.





I also have a doll for sale on EarlyWorks Mercantile this month along with my Candles.

Garden Flowers and a Road Trip

Hi Everyone!   Spring is here and it has been rather chilly and rainy, but I have to tell you that the flowers are just Loving it!  I wanted to share a couple pics of the buckets and perennials that I have planted here at The Blackberry Briar. There will be more to come.    Above is a lovely basket that my daughter and I put together.  She has such a great eye for color already. 

I just LOVE my pinks.  THey are a wonderful splash of color in the early spring and bloom for quite a while.  This is the pink variety and I have Red ones to show you soon!

These Blue Phlox are near and dear to my heart.  My daughter and I planted seeds in the gardens 4 years ago and her package spilled out of her hand and we thought we lost all the seeds.....Two seedlings popped up and we are getting seeds sown to other places as well.  They are just beautiful and bloom all summer.





Sunday my family and I took a road trip up to New Glarus, Wisconsin!  It was such a lovely ride up through the hilly farmland!  I thought I would share some pics of the town and also of a GREAT Brewery   New Glarus Brewery





You can only buy their beer in Wisconsin.  It is owned by a Master Brewer and his wife.  A truly Hand Crafted Beer.  I haven't had such GREAT beer in a long time!  My favorite that day was the Coffee Stout.  Amazing that a beer could actually taste like coffee.   They just built a brand new building on the top of a hill with the most beautiful views!!  If you have a chance to visit, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Let Your Inner Light Shine

 

There comes a time when you must stand alone.

You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams.

You must be willing to make sacrifices.

You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.

Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.

There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.

Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.

Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.

Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.

Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.

The Blackberry Briar Candles/ Happy Mothers Day

Sorry I have been missing for the last week.  My poor Sweet Angels have had some sort of flu bug this past week.   We are on the mend, thankfully.   Looking forward to a relaxing weekend filled with gardening.  :0)

I am so excited to Share One of my Newest Dolls Independence with you!   She is a OOAK Doll made by my hands and she is for sale now on TDIPT Mercantile.

She is a Sailor Girl with Americana Spirit and Pride to go along with the theme this month.



I also have Ms. Moon Queen which was made for the Grand Opening of Early Works Mercantile

Ms Moon Queen is the first 18th Century Queen Anne Style Doll I have ever attempted.  She is full of whimsy and Blackberry Briar Style.

A New Venture

I am pleased and honored to say that I will be a part of a wonderful new Online Selling Mercantile beginning May 1st!    Early Works Mercantile was created by Doreen Frost from Vermont Harvest .  She is leading this new venture and she has worked so hard at getting together some extreme talent.   The site will focus on Early Wares of the 18th and 19th Centuries.   I hope to have a new doll each month along with Candles and maybe even a Painting or two.  The Grand Opening is May 1st and I invite you to join me and all the other artists in our new venture.
